LAURA, TIM + DELLA.
On a long summer afternoon, we played and chatted and reminised. I was lucky enough to photograph Laura and Tim’s wedding a few years back and so this session unfolded like old friends catching up but with one small dot of a difference, the delightful Della. This absolute joy of a child showed me around her lagoon backyard with the mightiness of a happy and content 3 year old.
Markers of time are such a fascinating thing to notice. The greying muzzle and milky eyes of the doggo, the fresh timber of the almost finished deck, the wide old streets, the half grown grass… All of this just a particular and perfect moment in time that won’t ever be captured in this state again. It’s what makes me love family photography. This family, just so, just now. I can’t wait to come back again to notice each little change.
