HANNAH FOLEY. 'WET BREATH EXCHANGE’

Hannah is one of my favourite artists. We both have a fascination with the watery ways of the land we live on and Wet Breath Exchange is Hannah’s incredible deep dive into her phd works about the relationship between us and the Bridgewater Jerry, an infamous fog that runs from the valleys down the river.

We started predawn on the ferry, catching the breath of the river. The performers were joined by commuters as the ferry trailed back and forth across this body of water. As the light lifted, as did the work unfold and evolve.

One of my favourite things about photography is it’s endless ability to connect me with fascinating people and experiences and I hold this experience as one of those moments that I’m lucky enough to have witnessed and documented.
